Ghouls are the weakest enemy, but they are also one of the most annoying in Night of the Dead. Ghouls are notoriously fast, able to outrun all but the fastest characters sprinting. They also stack ailments at a higher rate than most enemies. The Ghouls themselves appear in a number of ways. They appear during several hordes in Easy Company, often in packs. They will unburrow in packs around the security cameras, as well as at the scrapyard. Ghouls will also pop out of the corpses of common zombies, looking to ambush an unaware player. Their 22 damage is agitating to classes with low shields and no CP bonus. They will create a large amount of otherwise unnecessary hits. Mercifully, Ghouls are quite weak and easily dispatched by most weapons and the combat knife. All weapons will dispatch them easily at range. Flamethrowers will work well if they get close. Try not to get caught alone. Ghouls have a low threat priority, and will sneak up if there are greater threats present. Ghouls are notoriously dangerous on Nightmare. The addition of charge makes running impossible. Additionally, they will spawn as part of "bane trains", easily killing blind Marines. So long as you stick with your team, Ghouls shouldn't present a threat.
